This warranty is limited to gasoline and diesel-powered battery chargers manufactured and distributed by ALTEN Battery Chargers, Inc. (the "Manufacturer), Suite 115, 7058 Portal Way, Ferndale, Washington 98248.  The following warranty applies to gasoline and diesel-powered battery chargers (the "Product") purchased at retail or placed into rental service on or after January 1, 2009.

TO QUALIFY FOR THIS WARRANTY:

The Product must be purchased directly from the Manufacturer, or from an Authorized Reseller.  The limited warranty applies to the first retail purchaser during the applicable warranty time period.

WHAT THE MANUFACTURER WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE UNDER WARRANTY:

The Manufacturer will repair or replace, at its option, any part that is proven to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use during the applicable warranty time period.  Warranty repairs and replacements will be made without charge for parts or labor.  Anything replaced under warranty becomes the property of the Manufacturer.  All parts replaced under warranty will be considered as part of the original product and any warranty on those parts will expire coincident with the original product warranty. 

TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:

You must contact the Manufacturer and provide proof of original retail purchase date and the product serial number.  To expedite warranty service, it is strongly recommended that you register your product on the Manufacturer's website. The Manufacturer, upon verification of the warranty status, will provide you with an authorization number which must accompany the product along with a copy of the original sales receipt.  Authorized shipments to the Manufacturer are arranged at the effort and expense of the customer.  The Manufacturer may reimburse the customer for shipping costs following positive verification of the warranty status.

DO NOT RETURN PRODUCTS TO THE MANUFACTURER WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, THE PRODUCT WILL BE RETURNED UNOPENED.

EXCLUSIONS:

This warranty does not extend to parts affected or damaged by collision, misuse, neglect, parts worn beyond service limits due to normal wear/normal service life, parts affected or damaged by the conversion to or use of other than that of the products intended purpose, the incorporation of, or use of, unsuitable attachments or parts, the unauthorized alteration of any part or any causes other than defects in material or workmanship of the product. 

DISCLAIMER OF CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE AND LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES:

The Manufacturer disclaims any responsibility for loss of time or use of the product, transportation, commercial loss, or any other incidental or consequential damage.  Any implied warranties are limited to the duration of this written limited warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary by location.
