the telecom industry or renewable energy systems require emergency
recharging and often at the most inconvenient times and places. ALTEN Battery Chargers recharge flat
batteries quickly and efficiently, anywhere, anytime. ALTEN stationary
models automatically backup batteries used in critical service
applications to ride through primary battery charging trouble periods.
Powered by Hatz 1B20 diesel engine, the DUKE 120 is a 12 VDC
battery charger/generator that delivers 1.7 kW peak power and 30.2 kWh
from a standard 4.5 gallon tank of fuel. Stationary EX models have a 20
gallon base-mounted fuel tank for approximately 80 hours of run time
versus 18 hours on the standard 4.5 gallon top-mounted fuel tank.
All DUKE series battery chargers/generators are built on an
all-welded, powder coated aluminum frame for a durable, corrosion
resistant finish. Check out our

Standard
All DUKE Series diesel-powered battery chargers come standard with a 4.5 gallon top-mount fuel tank, recoil start, an all aluminum frame, and rubber non-skid pads. |
Electric Start, "E"
The E model comes with everything found on the standard model, plus an on-board engine controller, with manual pushbutton electric start and 12 volt battery. |
Extended Run-time, "EX"
The EX Model comes with everything found on the "E" model, plus extended run-time made possible with a 20 gallon bottom-mount fuel tank (replaces top-mount fuel tank), and expanded oil capacity for longer service intervals. |

Auto Start'n'Stop
Extending the capabilities of the engine controller with a battery state-of-charge monitor, the DUKE monitors the battery bank and automatically starts when voltage drops. The DUKE will also automatically shutoff after a pre-programed duration. Only available with E or EX models.

Remote Monitoring System
With MODBUS support, the DUKE Remote Monitoring System provides Internet browser-based remote access to the engine controller to view, adjust, start and stop the DUKE anywhere Internet access is available. The DUKE RMS includes serial, Ethernet and USB ports.

Hot Weather Kit
A recommended add-on for any application where ambient temperature is expected to exceed 30'C (86'F). Increased ventilation to the engine is provided by a filtered DC-powered fan and ductwork, and is controlled by an on-board thermostat.

Cold Weather Kit
A recommended add-on for any application where ambient temperature is expected to fall below -10'C (14'F). An on-board thermostat controls an 80 watt block heater, and a glow plug is added to the engine start sequence.

Auxiliary Fuel Connection
For applications where an alternative diesel source is available, such as a vehicle fuel tank, an auxiliary fuel connection is available and includes connections and fuel pump. NOTE: Use of diesel fuel not recommended by the engine manufacturer may void engine and battery charger warranties.
